When you add a document, it goes into a local database on your phone or computer — not uploaded automatically. There is no central server holding your files. If you close the app and never return, your documents are still there, on your device.
Your vault is locked behind encryption that meets the same standard used by financial institutions and federal government. Even if someone gets access to your device, they cannot read your files without your PIN, biometric, or recovery key. We don't have that key. Nobody does except you.
The app does not collect analytics, sell data, or show ads. Your behavior inside the app is not logged or sent anywhere.
